alfanar participated in the SEC’s strategic Suppliers Forum 2025 held 16-17 Nov in Riyadh under the patronage of the Saudi Ministry of Energy to further align with the SEC’s efforts to improve the grid and encourage collaboration across the energy supply ecosystem.

The forum gathered many representatives from leading companies, energy experts, suppliers, and contractors from related industries. It focused on the SEC’s strategy, which is built around key pillars such as energy supply security and reliability, safety, grid operational excellence, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) best practices, financial stability, localization, and maximizing local content.

Eng. Abdulsalam Al Mutlaq, Chairman of alfanar Group, attended the forum, along with Eng. Amer Al Ajmi, CEO of alfanar Engineering Services, Eng. Sattam Al Motairi, COO of alfanar Engineering Services, and Eng. Khalid Al Solami, Executive Vice President of Engineering Construction. Dr. Raed Al-Eid, Sales & Marketing VP, Mr. Mohannad Alashqar, Strategy and Business Planning VP, and Eng. Abdul Raouf Eizzi, General Manager OGP & Utilities Project Sales attended from the Electrical Division.

During a panel discussion entitled “From Vision to Execution: Driving Collaboration and Excellence”, Eng. Amer Al Ajmi stated, “We take pride in our longstanding collaboration with SEC and remain dedicated to advancing the core pillars of Vision 2030 through our expertise in engineering and project delivery. The energy sector's needs and demands are constantly evolving, and our role is to craft solutions that enhance resilience, build local capabilities, and ensure long-term competitiveness.”

On the second day of the forum, Eng. Sattam Al Motairi participated in the panel discussion “No Transition without Transmission – Powering the Energy Shift”, where he said, “We aim to support the delivery of resilient infrastructure to contribute to the modernization of the national grid. We are evolving beyond the delivery of traditional infrastructure to ensure the security of the energy supply and hence our nation’s overall industrial progress.”

In a third panel discussion entitled” How Sustainability is Shaping KSA Companies’ Strategies” Mr. Ahmad Alsaleh, Environment Protection and Sustainability Manager said, “At alfanar, sustainability is embedded into our products and operations, from SF₆-free RMUs and RoHS compliance to EPD transparency and circular material use, ensuring measurable impact and alignment with national and global goals. The real challenge for companies is integrating evolving standards like GRI, EPDs, and RoHS into everyday operations; true success comes when sustainability becomes part of the business DNA.”

During the honoring ceremony, alfanar was presented two awards: the first one “the Project Excellence Award 2025” for its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Bisha. Eng. Khaled Al Solami, Executive Vice President of Engineering Construction at alfanar Projects, received the award on behalf of the company from Eng. Khalid Al Ghamdi, CEO of the Saudi Electricity Company. and commented on this milestone, “Receiving such an award reflects the impact of the BESS project in Bisha, and our strong and long-standing partnership with the Saudi Electricity Company. The SEC’s continued trust in our capabilities enables us to make meaningful contributions to the Kingdom’s energy transformation.”

The second award, “Material Supply Excellence Award” was received on behalf of alfanar by Eng. Abdulraouf Ezzie, General Manager of OGP and Utilities Projects Sales at alfanar Electric, who in turn stated, “We remain committed to delivering innovative, reliable, and future-ready solutions that support the national vision and advance the resilience of the power sector”.
